Cardiff City manager Steve Morison has revealed that he is not aware of any Bournemouth interest in Kieffer Moore this month, during a conversation with Wales Online.

This follows a report from The Sun linking Moore with a move to Championship leaders Bournemouth.

Despite not being as prolific as last season, the 29-year-old has chipped in with five goals and three assists in 22 Championship games this season, still proving to be an important source of goals and an integral figure in the final third.

Speaking to Wales Online, Morison addressed Moore's situation at the club: "He's always going to have interest.

"He's a really good player. But he's out. He's injured. He needs to concentrate on just getting fit.

"If someone rings me up and tells me something different, we just carry on and we go from there.

"If you've got interest in your players, it's because you're doing something right.

"If someone scores 20 goals in the Championship, he's going to get interest. He's a really good player and he's Wales' number nine.

"So it's no shock.

"Also, if there is interest, it hasn't come to me. It hasn't come to the powers that be."

The verdict

Given his importance and influence in the Cardiff team, it would be no surprise to see a whole host of clubs interested in his services this month.

Moore's physicality, attacking intelligence, experience both domestically and on the international stage, make him a player who is likely to draw attention this month, especially with Cardiff not performing to what is expected of them this season.

However, as Morison states, there has been no interest made known to him or the club.

A lot can still happen between now and when the window closes at the end of the month, with Cardiff fans hoping he remains in South Wales.
