The Sky Bet League Two play-offs have been by far the most entertaining in the Football League this season, with 22 goals spread across four games in the semi-finals.
Exeter City and Blackpool will meet at Wembley later this month for a shot at competing in League One next season, after they recorded victories over Carlisle United and Luton Town respectively.
The second-leg between Blackpool and Luton was a thriller, as Gary Bowyer’s side clawed their way back from a 3-1 deficit to clinch a 3-3 draw and a 6-5 aggregate victory.
The defeat was particularly cruel on Luton, with Stuart Moore’s 95th minute own-goal condemning the Hatters to another year in League Two.
Not even one of the division’s most prolific goalscorers, Danny Hylton, could prevent Luton suffering defeat, despite him scoring his 27th goal of the season against Blackpool.
Hylton, 28, is bound to be under increased transfer speculation during the summer, after a fine individual season in League Two, almost saw Luton reach the play-off final.
Steve Evans and Mansfield Town are planning a serious promotion challenge in League Two next season, and with the Stags blocking any attempts to lure Evans away from the club, they seem serious about getting into League One next year.
Mansfield should make a move for Hylton to bolster their promotion push next season, as the striker’s goals could prove to be invaluable for Evans’ side in their quest for League One.
Matt Green was Mansfield’s top goalscorer last season with just 13 goals, and if Evans is serious about his push for promotion, he must bring Hylton to the club during the summer to add to the long list of summer signings already made.
