With just a week left of the January transfer window to go, Swansea City manager Steve Cooper has revealed that more names could be set to leave The Liberty Stadium this month.

WalesOnline are reporting that Cooper has made the statement with fringe players in mind, with the Swans' bigger stars set to remain a part of the squad for the rest of the campaign, at the very least.

Cooper said: "If certain players get offers and we think it’s right then we wouldn’t stand in the way.

"Those decisions will be made around what we think is right for the club and having a squad that can see out the demands for the remainder of the season.

"I also think some players, if they feel like they haven’t been getting opportunities with game time then they'll have the ambition to do it somewhere else, I won’t stand in their way. They're the type of players I want around here."

Three players that haven't seen the regular minutes on the pitch that they would have liked are Barrie McKay, Tom Carroll and Declan John, with the trio possibly heading out the exit door this month if Cooper chooses to do right by the player.

The Swansea chief has already ruled out a move away for Bersant Celina, who was attracting interest from Brighton & Hove Albion at a price of £10 million.

The Championship club have also put an £18 million price-tag over the head of forward Andre Ayew, with Tottenham Hotspur thought to be keen on the 30-year-old.

There have already been two departures from the club this January, Kristoffer Nordfeldt joining Turkish club Genclerbirligi and Kristoffer Peterson heading out on loan to FC Utrecht.

The Verdict

Cooper remains adamant that he will be able to keep the main bulk of his squad together over the next week, and he is looking to do right by the players that want to go and play senior football.

The Swansea manager now has some tough decisions to make as he looks at the pros and cons to some players departing either permanently or on loan for the next few months with a crucial part of Swansea's season approaching.
