Swansea manager Steve Cooper has stated that his side 'are in this together' after an impressive start to the season.

The Swans scored a last minute winner against Wigan on Saturday which meant that Cooper's side ended the weekend in 4th place in the Championship table.

Cooper only took over at the Swans in the summer, but is proving to be a shrewd appointment after joining the club. His early season form has got people talking about Swansea as a potential candidate for promotion.

The Swans have a massive encounter on Saturday when they travel to 7th placed Sheffield Wednesday, knowing a victory could potentially take them to the top of the league.

Cooper has insisted that his team is all in it together and that there will be no individual blame or praise.

Speaking to Swansea's official website, Cooper said: “There is no individual praise for wins and there is no individual blame for losses. We are in this together.

“We are about the collective, this city and this football club is about the collective, being together and supporting each other through the highs and the lows."

The Verdict

Swansea have had a very good start to the season, and it's one that not many would have expected especially after the summer that they had.

The sale of Oli McBurnie was sure to have hit them hard, but Borja Baston returned as did Andre Ayew, and they are now looking like a team that is capable of beating any side on their day.

It's a long season, and they'll have to work hard to keep up this run of form, but like Cooper says the way that Swansea are together as a team could take them far in the future.
