Swansea City boss Steve Cooper has suggested that he could make one or two changes for his side's trip to Fulham on Wednesday night, but he backed his players to be up to the task against the promotion chasers.

The South Wales outfit breathed fresh life into their play-off bid over the weekend as they sealed a 3-1 win over Huddersfield with Andre Ayew, Jay Fulton and Jordon Garrick all on target to help the Swans move within five points of the top six.

Cooper's men now face a challenging trip to face third-placed Fulham at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night, with the West London outfit aiming to kick-start an upturn in form after collecting just one point from their last two league matches.

Speaking to Wales Online, Cooper has now suggested he would be prepared to make a couple of changes ahead of the Cottagers clash, with the Swansea boss claiming he will base his team selection on the threats posed by Fulham ahead of the meeting.

“You have to think about what different challenges Fulham give us and pick the right team for that," Cooper said.

"If we have to change one or two things for whatever reason I’m sure the players will be ready to take up the challenge.”

Cooper made four changes to the Swansea side ahead of their clash with Huddersfield as Joe Rodon, Ben Cabango, Aldo Kalulu and Rhian Brewster all stepped into the starting line-up, with Cooper having already shown his willingness to rotate.

The Verdict

Swansea produced a solid performance against Huddersfield to gain some much-needed ground in their play-off bid, and Cooper should look to name a similar starting line-up when his side travels to West London later this week.

This team should include Kalulu who produced an excellent wing display during his third league start for the club against the Terriers, and it would only do the Frenchman good to increase his minutes ahead of the Championship's final run-in.

However, I would also expect Bersant Celina to play a more prominent role during the Swans' trip to Fulham after the attacking midfielder was left on the bench during the Huddersfield game over the weekend.
