Steve Bruce has a full squad of players available to him for Aston Villa’s clash with Burton Albion in the Sky Bet Championship this weekend, he has confirmed to the club’s official Twitter account (@AVFCOfficial).

Villa welcome struggling Burton to Villa Park this weekend, with Bruce’s side now firmly focused on the automatic promotion places, which they sit just a single point behind.

Victory this weekend could move Villa into the top-two following Tuesday night’s 1-0 victory over Sheffield United, which came thanks to Robert Snodgrass’ stunning late winner.

That success at Bramall Lane was Villa’s fifth consecutive Championship victory, with Villa looking to make it six this weekend against Nigel Clough’s side.

Bruce will have a full squad to select from for that clash, he has confirmed, with both Lewis Grabban and Axel Tuanzebe pushing for their Villa debuts.

Tuanzebe was an unused sub against Sheffield United, but Grabban arrived 24 hours later, becoming Villa’s deadline day addition and bolstering Bruce’s strikeforce.

The 30-year-old bagged 12 goals for Sunderland during the first-half of the season, but returned to AFC Bournemouth ahead of his move back to the Championship and Villa Park.

The Verdict

What a position Villa find themselves in – they are well in with a shout of the top-two this season and Bruce has a fully fit squad to be selecting from.

It is hard to imagine Bruce will make too many changes from the side that beat Sheffield United, but the options are now there for the Villa boss, who could be tempted to throw Grabban into the starting XI.
