Aston Villa will probably still be reeling from their loss against Wolves at the weekend after they were seriously out-classed by their midlands rivals.

The men from Villa Park had probably felt as though they could get a result but that is not what happened and so now it is back to the drawing board for this weekend. The Villans face Fulham at home as the games keep coming this season and it could just be a more open and balanced game than the one at Molineux.

Indeed, Villa are much more likely to get more of the ball and be able to do damage against a Fulham side that could just as easily win this game as lose it. It's a fixture that should sum up the Championship, then, and Steve Bruce is well aware that the competition is far from over.

Indeed, as quoted by the club's official Twitter account, Bruce has had this to say about building again and not worrying too much about the ground lost against Wolves:

Certainly, Villa have the capability to turn things around and now their fans will be eager to see them do that against the men from Craven Cottage.

The Verdict

Villa have had a pretty decent season so far but that loss to Wolves did highlight just exactly where they need to strengthen if they are to be title winners.

They've got more than enough time to improve, though, and it's going to be exciting to see them try - starting with Fulham this weekend.
