The former Manchester United winger had two loan spells at Hull City between 2011 and 2013 before making the deal permanent following their promotion to the Premier League.

He impressed last season during a year where the Tigers suffered relegation, and has a fair amount of interest in him this summer with Watford reportedly monitoring the situation.

Norwich are the frontrunners however, and had made an offer of £3 million for the former Manchester United man, but some reports have claimed Hull are looking for around £15 million for the 23-year-old.

But they could lower the price tag to around £9 million as Bruce says Norwich's current offer is 'embarrassing', telling the Hull Daily Mail: "Norwich have come in with bids for Robbie Brady but I have to say they've been embarrassing.

"The supporters should know the truth and Norwich came in two weeks ago with a bid of £2m, £2.5m and then £3m.

"That's ridiculous for someone who is 23, has played two years in the Premier League and has become a regular international. This can unsettle players, do this, that or the other, and it's all part of the game.

"But Robbie Brady will not be going for anywhere near that. I had a chat with him this week just to let him know where things stood.

"If it happens, it happens, but Norwich are nowhere near the figures we would even think about accepting at the moment."

Hull are looking to cut their wage bill this summer after heavy spending in the Premier League, and Bruce is planning an overhaul of the squad as they prepare for life in the Championship.
