Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce has praised Norwich City for what they have been able to achieve this season, ahead of tomorrow's Championship clash at Carrow Road.

The Canaries are currently top of the Championship table, four points ahead of second-placed Leeds United and seven ahead of Sheffield United in third.

Daniel Farke's side are unbeaten in their last ten matches and look almost certain to finish the season with automatic promotion.

Norwich have the chance to take a major step towards the Premier League when they take on Bruce's Sheffield Wednesday in Friday's late kick-off in the Championship.

Bruce was speaking to the media ahead of the clash at Carrow Road and was quick to praise the Canaries for what they have been able to accomplish this season.

Meanwhile, Bruce's Sheffield Wednesday side are tenth in the Championship table, six points outside the play-off places and need a win to keep their fading chances of making the top six alive.

It is a busy weekend in the Championship with the teams in action twice in the space of four days. Norwich travel to Stoke City on Monday afternoon, while the Owls face Bristol City at Hillsborough on the same day.

The Verdict:

Bruce is absolutely right to praise Norwich, who it is fair to say have exceeded all expectations in the Championship this season.

The Canaries have been unstoppable at times and when they are at their best, they are fantastic to watch.

Farke deserves tremendous credit for what he has been able to achieve with his players and they have the chance to take a major step towards promotion with a win against the Owls tomorrow.
