Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce has praised Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa, ahead of tomorrow's clash between the two teams.

Bruce is preparing for his 900th game as a manager at the weekend, as Wednesday travel to Elland Road to take on their Yorkshire rivals in Saturday's evening kick-off in the Championship.

The Owls boss was speaking to the media ahead of the game and was quick to praise Leeds manager Bielsa for what he has achieved with the Whites since arriving at the club this season.

Leeds are currently second in the Championship table, one point ahead of third-placed Sheffield United but could be third by the time of kick-off on Saturday evening, with the Blades in action against Millwall earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday are tenth in the table, six points outside the play-off places and will be looking to make it back-to-back victories after Tuesday's 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

The Verdict:

Bruce is spot on here.

Bielsa has intrigued everyone with his coaching methods this season and his high-press, high-energy style of attacking football has been brilliant to watch.

He deserves great credit for what he has been able to achieve with Leeds this season and fans at Elland Road will be hoping he can finish the campaign by winning promotion.

After what he has accomplished so far, they have every reason to be confident.
