Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to get themselves another three points under Steve Bruce as they face Swansea City this weekend in the Championship.

The Owls have been pretty decent under Bruce so far and have shown much better resilience and togetherness compared to the spell under Jos Luhukay.

Certainly, there are promising signs for Owls fans to be pleased about and they'll be eager to see what sort of side Bruce fields this weekend with a number of players pushing to feature.

One man that is still a little bit away from playing, though, is Sam Winnall - though he is making good progress now in his return from an injury layoff.

Indeed, as quoted by Dom Howson at his pre-match press conference, Steve Bruce revealed that the striker is still a few weeks away but that it's all going well:

The Verdict

Winnall is a sharp striker and it remains to be seen what the future really holds for him.

If he can work his way back to full fitness and get playing for the Owls, though, there is no reason why he can't be a regular feature under Steve Bruce.
