Aston Villa currently find themselves second from bottom in the Championship with one point from their opening three games and a goal difference of minus four.
Looks like John Terry isn’t ‘saving’ the Villains back line but that’s a story for another day.
Another major problem for Steve Bruce’s side is their goal scoring record.
At the conclusion of the 2016/17 campaign, Aston Villa finished with the fourth least amount of goals in the league with 47.
Two of the three teams who scored less than them were relegated.
Here at FLW, we think the obvious fix to Villa’s goal scoring issues is to sign one of League One’s top scorer last season, Josh Morris.
The left back turned winger contributed to 39 goals in 52 games last season, making him the third highest scorer in the league.
It wouldn’t be difficult for Steve Bruce to lure the 25-year-old away from the League One club and should he continue his great performances then he could solve a lot of Villa’s problems.
Adding a 15-20 goal a season player to your side is always going to help and considering he would likely cost, at an absolute maximum, £1-2 million.
His versatility, goal scoring and the addition of plenty of assists could make him on the signings of the season should Bruce make a move for him.
Something has to change at the club or else they could potentially find themselves dropping further down the football league like so many famous clubs have done before them.
