Steve Bruce has praised his Hull City team following a 3-0 victory last night, on their official website.

Bruce described the Tigers as ”excellent” following an impressive win at home to Ipswich, he also felt his side would have to be patient in the contest and was happy with how his side handled Ipswich’s tactical moves.

Bruce went on to say: ”The one thing I will say is that we’re going to have to try and be a bit patient. We all want to try and go forward quickly but Ipswich changed against us and went with five across the midfield and one up front. That is the respect they showed us.”

Goals from Alex Bruce, Akpom and Meyler earned Hull the victory in what the boss described as ”easily our best performance of the season”.

”We adapted to what we were playing against tonight and in the end it was a stroll for us. Credit for that goes to the players.”

The win puts Hull fourth in the Sky Bet Championship, as they look to return straight back to the Premier League.

The defeat leaves Ipswich 11th, who are now five league games without a win, and it seems that the injury to Town’s Ryan Fraser, has significantly hampered their league form.
