Stoke City boss Nathan Jones is set to drop midfielder Joe Allen from the XI against Leeds United this afternoon.

The Welsh international has been a regular for the Potter since he arrived and he has actually played in every game for Jones since the manager was appointed after leaving Luton earlier this year.

However, Stoke have collected just one point from their opening four games of the Championship season and they sit bottom of the league as a result ahead of the visit of the leaders today.

With the pressure increasing on Jones, he was expected to make changes this afternoon and Telegraph reporter John Percy has revealed that Allen is going to be one to miss out against Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Despite the midfielder's reputation, most fans agree that this is the right decision from Jones and some want more big-names dropped.
