Aston Villa saw their top two chances increase slightly last night as Cardiff City lost to Derby County in the Championship.

Of course, the Villans are still an outside bet with Fulham the chief contenders to Cardiff for second place but all they'll care about is the fact that it is not over yet.

Regardless of what happens there and in the play-offs - if needed - the club will look to strengthen in the summer, however, and it'll be interesting to see who they go after.

FFP, of course, will have its part to play but there can be no doubt that Villa have the draw and certainly trump a number of sides in that respect.

Thinking about the summer, then, we asked Villa fans if they'd urge Dr. Tony Xia to seal a deal for Pontus Jansson and, by the looks of it, most wouldn't:

Jansson did well last season for Leeds but this year he and his team-mates have not been in good form.

Certainly, then, there's a clear suggestion most wouldn't be that keen on such a move and it now remains to be seen just how the club does decide to try and improve the squad in the next window.
