Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that he is still unable to provide a return date for missing midfielder Adam Forshaw, which has drawn a frustrated reaction from fans of the Yorkshire club.

The Forshaw has not started since August as he has been struggling to return from a hip injury.

The 28-year-old had been a key player for the Whites in the early part of the season, starting their first six Championship games, but has now been absent from the first team for nearly four months.

Speaking to the BBC's Adam Pope after Leeds’ 1-0 defeat to QPR, Bielsa was pressed on the fitness of Forshaw.

The midfielder’s absence seems all the more frustrating for the Whites after Kalvin Phillips’ red card at Loftus Road today.

The 24-year-old was rightfully given his marching orders after catching Geoff Cameron with an ugly challenge in the closing stages of the Whites’ defeat yesterday.

Phillips looks set to face a three-match suspension and Leeds will be unable to bring in Forshaw, the natural replacement in the squad.
