Ryan Lowe has been in charge of Plymouth Argyle since the summer after departing newly-promoted League Two champions Bury, and Lowe has had a steady start to life at Home Park.

They are currently two points off the play-offs and are just sat inside the top half, as Lowe continues to instruct his team to go about their business in an orderly and professional manner so far this season.

Lowe's football has had a positive effect on Plymouth so far, as his team have passed the ball about with a purpose and calmness when they have never panicked while in possession.

Plymouth supporters have come away from their games this season with a sense that Lowe has things under control at Plymouth, and that he will be the man to help Plymouth challenge for promotion this season or the next as they look for a quick return to League One.

Lowe was forced to leave the cash-strapped Bury at the end of last season and his next destination was Plymouth, a club that needed somebody who could help steady the ship and get the team fighting for promotion back up at the first time of asking.

The manager has recruited well in the summer, bringing in the likes of Danny Mayor to help bolster his midfield and attack while he is managing to get the best out of the likes of Antoni Sarcevic and George Cooper so far.

Despite the struggles that Plymouth have to endure with all of their strikers spending a period of time on the sidelines this season, Lowe has done a remarkable job to keep the Pilgrims in the top half of the table and to keep them within touching distance of the play-offs.

Plymouth are fighting for promotion back to League One and in Lowe, they have hired a man who knows what it takes to gain promotion from the league.

Lowe has got Plymouth fighting for that promotion that they desperately want to try and take them back to their glory days of when they were once in the Championship.

The Pilgrims have passionate fans and they will be dreaming of Lowe taking them back to where they belong, with Plymouth having already proved their mettle so far this season in certain games by beating the likes of high flyers Forest Green Rovers.

Lowe has had a solid start to life at Home Park, but better could be around the corner for the Devon side.
