The Sky Bet League Two play-off race is looking as close as ever and several sides will feel as though they can make it into League One via them.

Colchester United are among the sides, too, with them earning a late win thanks to Kane Vincent-Young at the weekend against Cambridge.

He's a player they'll want to keep into next season, then, and the same can be said for Sammie Szmodics, though that might be a tough ask according to a report from the Daily Mail.

Indeed, they are suggesting that several Championship sides are looking at him so, here, take a look at some of the options available to him...

Stay at Colchester

Just because there is a story linking him away, doesn't mean that he actually has to move.

Colchester have some very good attacking players and Szmodics helps link it all up.

We've seen similar rumours involving him before, and he didn't move then.

Move to Bristol City

This would perhaps be his best option.

Bristol City have a decent track record of bringing through players from lower down the leagues and watching them excel.

That could well come into his thinking if he wants to move.

Move to Derby

Derby have some good attacking players and Szmodics would surely improve working with them and under Frank Lampard.

There's no doubt that the Rams will miss Mason Mount if he is to stay away from them next season, but maybe Szmodics can fill the void.
