Queens Park Rangers brought themselves to within four points of the playoff places with a 2-0 win against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

It was a match that showed the Rs professionalism that was missing for their abysmal opening four matches of the season and that was reflected in Angel Rangel's post-match tweet.

It took just 13 minutes for the visitors to take the lead against their struggling opponents when Luke Freeman's corner proved too difficult for Dean Gurken to handle as he fumbled the ball into his own net.

The Rs were given the chance to make it 2-0 in first-half stoppage time when Toto Nsiala was judged to have fouled Ebere Eze in the penalty area.

Tomar Hemed made no mistake from the spot to send his side well on their way to a much-needed win.

Gerken kept his side in the match throughout the second half with a string of fine saves to deny both Hemed and Eze on multiple occasions.

But the solid win will be more than enough to satisfy not just Rangel but the fans as well.

Here is how they reacted to the defender's tweet...
