Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon is one of the most exciting talents outside of the Premier League.

At the tender age of just 17, the full-back has already become a fundamental cog in Slavisa Jokanovic's side and he's been receiving admiring glances from top-flight clubs.

If Premier League clubs come calling in January, should the young player remain at Craven Cottage?

The writers here at Football League World have issued their verdicts....

Alfie Burns

I believe Fulham is still the best place for his development.

At 17, he has a long career ahead of him and plenty of time to take the step up to the Premier League.

One reason I don’t believe Sessegnon should leave in January is because he is yet to find his best position.

Obviously it is on the left side, but it is hard to tell whether he is better in midfield or defence.

Stay put!

What a great place Fulham is for a youngster.

Sessegnon is playing regular football, at a great standard in a good team.

The money will be better higher up, but he’s going to be playing U-23 and Carabao Cup football, it shouldn’t even be an option from the sporting perspective.

His big move will come, he has the quality, but he needs to be patient. Sessegnon should only move when he feels he will play for his new club regularly and that could be a few years yet.

Instead, help Fulham get to the Premier League.

The youngster isn't going to be with Fulham for long, but he should at least see out of the season.

Moving in January gives him no time to impress his new manager, something he would have during preseason if he moved in the summer.

The player may as well be a regular starter rather than rotting on a Premier League bench for six months, so he should at least see out the season in the Championship.

George Dagless

Tottenham appear to have lost interest.

The young left-sided player was heavily linked with Spurs and Liverpool last season and in the summer but this year that has all gone quiet.

He is still playing well but perhaps the novelty of such a young player performing like that has worn off?

He'll hope it hasn't but if he doesn't have any interest in January and get a move, he might wonder if it's going to happen. It should eventually though.
