Derby County are through to the fourth-round of the FA Cup after seeing off Premier League Southampton at St Mary’s on Wednesday evening.

Having come back from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw in the original tie, the replay was more of the same.

Saints led 2-0 late on before a spirited Rams fightback saw Harry Wilson put on a virtuoso display to drag his side back from the dead to send the tie into extra time.

Two goals in two minutes for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side gave them a commanding lead with Stuart Armstrong and Nathan Redmond getting on the score sheet.

But with the time seemingly out of the hands of the visitors, up stepped Wilson.

The Liverpool loanee saw his side free-kick evade all advances as it crept into the far corner to give Frank Lampard’s side hope of a comeback with 14 minutes remaining.

Six minutes after, the 21-year-old crossed in from the same spot as his goal to find the head of Martyn Waghorn who headed home to restore parity.

After an uneventful period of extra time, the Rams came through a penalty shootout 5-3 to advance to the next stage of the club.

Wilson’s performance was the talk of the Rams after the final whistle having stood up and taken control to give the Derby fans something to cheer.

With that said, here’s how the club’s supporters reacted on Twitter to the performance of the attacker in last night’s FA Cup win over Southampton.
