Many Wigan Athletic fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that goalkeeper Ben Amos has signed for the club on a two year deal.Β

The move comes after the former Manchester United shot stopper left Charlton Athletic after spending three seasons with the Addicks across two separate spells.

Ipswich Town were previously said to hold an interest in the 31-year-old but it appears that he has elected to move back up north in order to be closer to his family.

Amos has played well over 200 Football League games and will certainly add experience to the Wigan ranks after moving to the DW Stadium.

Naturally the news of the signing prompted plenty of reaction amongst the Wigan faithful, with many taking to social media to air their views on the matter in hand.
