Huddersfield Town continued to impress last night as they comfortably dispatched league leaders Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Terriers blew away their opponents in a fast paced first half and saw the game out to further boost their bid for promotion.

Tommy Smith got the home side off to a flyer by opening the scoring within 10 minutes but they were pegged back by Tomer Hemed's cool finish shortly after.

However, Huddersfield soon regained the advantage; Nahki Wells's impressive drive and Elias Kachunga's header gave David Wagner's side a deserved 3-1 half time lead.

Things got worse for the Seagulls as Lewis Dunk received his marching orders for a second yellow card midway through the second half and Huddersfield saw out the remainder of the game with relative ease.

Brighton missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table but Huddersfield cemented their place in the top six and closed the gap on those above them.

Delighted Huddersfield fans took to Twitter to celebrate and here are a selection of the best Tweets.
