Sone Aluko impressed for Reading last night.
The Nigerian has only made five appearances for Reading this season, and four of them have come in the FA Cup.
He again featured in the cup for Mark Bowen’s side last night, coming on at half-time and seeing Reading to a 4-1 win on penalties after a 3-3 draw with Cardiff City following extra-time – Aluko scoring the winning penalty.
The 30-year-old shone throughout. He looked like the player of old and it’s got fans talking about him once again, but this time for the right reasons.
Aluko was Reading’s most expensive ever signing until the summer arrival of George Puscas, and had started the season out on-loan at Beijing Renhe, where he scored three goals in 16 Chinese Super League appearances.

He’s slowly working his way back into contention in Berkshire though, and after last night, we asked Reading fans of the Facebook group ‘Reading FC 1871‘ whether they think he should start ahead of the contested Puscas against Hull City this weekend.
Here’s what they had to say:
Dean Cooke: Don’t think either should start, Meite and Baldock up top.
Dave Peart: I made him Man of the Match, should start on Saturday.
Keith Emmett: I would dump Puscas.
Stephen Rose: Puscas and Aluko blow hot and cold, not consistent enough.
Kevin Walters: Yes, give Aluko a chance after last night’s performance.
Jason Baldwin: Start him.
James Pottinger: Start him and Meite.
