Leeds United face off against Jaap Stam's Reading on Saturday at Elland Road, in a game which the Whites will be expected to win.

Thomas Christiansen's Leeds United side sit in fifth spot in the league table, whilst their opponents are struggling in 20th position in the table.

Christiansen has some big team selection decisions to make, and one player who's been knocking on the door for a number of weeks is winger Hadi Sacko.

The 23-year-old was a key part of the team under Garry Monk last season, but has found opportunities hard to come by this year.

Should Christiansen start Sacko on Saturday?

The writers here at Football League World have had their say.....

Alfie Burns

He should be nowhere near the starting XI – yet.

Sacko made an impressive impact from the bench against Burnley in the Carabao Cup last month, and is certainly an option Christiansen should consider for the bench, but not the starting XI.

The winger’s opportunity will come, but he will have to put in more hard yards to gain a start.

Chris Gallagher

Sacko has been underused by Christiansen this season, and whilst he shouldn’t start on Saturday, he should be on the bench.

The winger is direct and quick, bringing qualities that Leeds forward options lack. The manager will be considering changes after the recent performances and Sacko could be a beneficiary.

Will be a great option later on.

Adam Simeoni

Start? He needs to leave.

Sacko is so far down the pecking order at Elland Road that I think Christiansen gets a run out before he does!

There's no way he's starting against Reading, but he could get a couple of minutes off the bench if Leeds are comfortable.

There's too much competition for places, and he should really consider moving on.

George Dagless

Should be an impact sub.

Sacko has been used very sparingly by Leeds this season but he is a better player than those minutes suggest.

He might not be ready to start just yet but if Reading sit deep and look to frustrate Leeds, his pace and power off of the bench could be vital.

Christiansen needs to use him more.
