Experienced defender Angel Rangel broke the silence among the Queens Park Rangers players on Wednesday morning after the club suffered yet another resounding loss.

Having been humiliated 7-1 at West Brom on Saturday, Rs fans would have been hopeful of a resurgance from their team when Bristol City came to Loftus Road on Tuesday night.

But Steve McClaren's side were once again on the end of a comfortable defeat with the Robins running out 3-0 winners.

Taking to Twitter, Rangel wrote: Not a good start to the season but still a long way to go! Togetherness, Belief and learning quickly from the mistakes will be key to change things around. Not the debut I wanted personally and collectively but we will keep fighting! @QPR #belief #togetherness #qpr

Rangel joined the club in the summer on a free transfer, leaving Swansea City after nine years with the club and became one of just a few players.

Manager Steve McClaren said after the game how determined he was to turn the club's form around despite the mounting pressure on him.

Andreas Weimann scored twice for the Robins in the second half after Matt Taylor had given the away side a first-half lead.

The Rs are yet to win a point this season and have scored just twice in their opening four games.

The Verdict

Rangel is the exact sort of player who will be so important in situations like this.

He played with Swansea for five seasons in the Championship before they were promoted so he knows the league well, and the sort of level-headedness he has shown so far at QPR will be crucial.
