According to Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã – via Sport Witness – Alex Telles is available this summer for a move and England is a likely destination.
The full-back has apparently got a €40m release clause in his contract that can be activated and with these shores seemingly a destination for him, the report refers to the interest Chelsea, Liverpool and Wolves have all had in the defender previously.
Wolves, of course, have got the Portuguese connection with many players from the Iberian nation helping them in their pursuit of Championship glory last season.
Liverpool and Chelsea, meanwhile, have European campaigns to prepare for once again next season and so they might be looking at Telles as a way of bolstering their respective squads.
It’s a significant amount of money but all three sides are capable of paying it.
For Wolves in particular, it’s a signing that you could see them really going for given his background and his ability to play as a wing-back.
Whether or not they actually go for him, though, remains to be seen as all three gear up for a Premier League campaign in 2018/19.
