It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur are now showing a serious interest in Leeds United winger Jack Clarke, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

This comes after the Whites fell to play-off semi-final defeat against Derby County to deny their Premier League promotion bid, and this has raised doubts over the future of certain members of Marcelo Bielsa's squad.

Clarke took the Championship by storm after making his breakthrough in the Leeds side before Christmas, but his form stalled in the second half of the season after suffering an illness in February.

However, this has not stopped Champions League finalists Tottenham from stepping up their interest in the Leeds academy product as they prepare to table a bid.

Trusted Leeds journalist Phil Hay revealed the news on Thursday morning to his Twitter followers:

It is likely that Clarke will raise a considerable fee for the Elland Road outfit, which would help them bolster their squad ahead of a fresh promotion challenge next term.

A number of Leeds fans were quick to respond to Hay's update, with many of them stating they would be accepting of the deal if the fee is right for the 18-year-old winger.
