‘Stabbed in the back by Lampard’ – Loads of Charlton fans angry with Chelsea after player update emerges

It has been reported that Chelsea have recalled Conor Gallagher from his spell at Charlton, and are in the process of finding another club to send the 19-year-old to for the rest of the season.
Tom Barclay, a reporter for The Sun, stated that Gallagher is back at Chelsea’s Cobham training base, and was involved in the first-team session on Tuesday morning.
It abruptly brings an end to the 19-year-old’s time at Charlton, where he scored six goals in 26 appearances, and also contributed with two assists.
QUIZ: Can you name every top Charlton goalscorer from the past fifteen seasons?
Although it was previously reported that Chelsea wanted to loan Gallagher out to a Premier League club for the second half of the campaign, it has emerged that Swansea are now favourites to land the midfielder.
Journalist Alan Nixon provided this update on Twitter, stating that Chelsea want to choose a club that will play Gallagher regularly:
Chelsea want Connor Gallagher to go on loan to a club where he will play. That has ruled out a couple of Premier League teams so far … Swansea have a realistic chance. Others keen. But he must get game time.

This has caused anger among the Charlton fans, as Gallagher was one of the first names on the team sheet at the club.
Here is what they had to say in response to this latest development…
He was playing every week at Charlton though so must be something more than that?

We are in the thick of an unprecedented injury crisis and Chelsea want to recall one of “our” only fit players – it’s quite gutting to be honest.

Alan – are you aware that Conor (who is top class) played for us at #cafc EVERY week ?

This may seem harsh but if you look at the first 12 games or so Connor played u would say he is class, but he has been very ordinary for the last 10 or so, we signed a player from an u23 team with no previous experience, I’m sure there are more where he came from#cafc
