French Ligue 1 side St Etienne striker Brandao is poised to join Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, according to Hat-Trick FR.
The 34-year old Brazilian striker traveled to Sheffield for contract negotiations with the Owls last Friday and it is thought that he has verbally agreed a deal pending a medical.
St Etienne are hoping to offload the striker due to his high wages, as Brandao is one of the highest earners at the club, earning around £18,000 a week.
The former Marseille and Shakhtar Donetsk striker is currently under contract until the summer of 2015 but it is unlikely that St Etienne will be holding out for a fee.
St Ettiene manager Christopher Galtier confirmed that talks between the two clubs were in their advanced stages and it is thought that a deal will be wrapped up later on this week.
