Blackburn Rovers complete their season on Sunday with the visit of Swansea City, with both teams assured of a mid-table finish it will be a summer where both managers will be looking to hold onto their existing talent while making the additions that can help mount a promotion challenge.

For Rovers boss Tony Mowbray he will be looking to push on having guided his side to promotion from League One, he will need to add to his squad if he wants to put together a concerted challenge for a top six finish next season.

So, what are Mowbray's priorities at Blackburn during the summer?

We discuss........

George Brooks

"Tony Mowbray will need to considerably strengthen his squad in the transfer market this summer if Blackburn are to challenge for promotion next season.

"The Rovers boss will need to strengthen in few key areas - the most obvious position is central midfield.

"The team need a central midfielder who is able to take control of games and dictate the tempo.

"This has to be one of Mowbray’s biggest priorities in the summer if the team want to challenge for promotion next season."

Gary Hutchinson

“A lot....

“That sounds harsh, but they need a few good players, mainly a prolific striker.

“Ben Brereton was a huge mistake.

“They’ve got to hang on to Dack too.”

Louie Chandler

"Retention has to be the priority.

"Bradley Dack's early season form has dropped off slightly but you can bet that there will still be a lot of interest in him.

"Then a few tweaks should be all that is needed to boost them into top-six contention because the bare bones are definitely there."

Jacob Potter

"They need to improve their squad depth.

"Blackburn have got quality players in their ranks but they haven’t been consistent enough for my liking.

"They need additional players to rely on over busy periods of the season.

"Proven Championship players should be top of Mowbray’s shopping list in the summer."
