Fulham could lose Ryan Sessegnon this summer after he told the club that he wants a move to Tottenham according to The Guardian.

The 19-year-old has just one year remaining on his current contract, but he has told the club that he will not renew his deal.

And amid interest from Spurs, Manchester United and PSG, the Cottagers may have to cash in on him this summer or risk losing out on a decent fee for the winger.

Tottenham have been long-term admirers of Sessegnon and are reportedly prepared to pay Fulham £25 million for his services, but the club want £20m more than that.

The England U21 player has made 110 appearances for the club despite his youth, and has contributed with 23 goals and 17 assists.

So far, Fulham have stood firm and kept hold of their academy product, and they could do so again in order to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

The Verdict

It is surprising that Fulham have kept on for Sessegnon for so long, given that Spurs in particular have been interested in him since he first broke onto the scene more than two years ago.

It is disappoint for Fulham fans who would have wanted him to stay on long-term. That could have been possible if Fulham were still in the Premier League, but after a disastrous Sessegnon knows his future lies elsewhere. He could be integral in Fulham's chances of promotion, so there is always a chance he could still stay.

Sessegnon has shown commitment to the club in recent years, but will feel he has achieved he can at the club. Knowing there is Premier League interest is unsettling and it is not surprising that he wants a move away.
