According to Football Insider, Tottenham are taking a closer look at Lloyd Kelly of Bristol City and could be interested in bringing him into the side this summer.

Kelly has really shone this season for the Robins and with the likes of Joe Bryan leaving the club last summer he has had the chance to get invaluable game time.

He looks a real talent, then, and with him shining in the EFL it is perhaps no surprise to see the likes of Spurs going after him.

Indeed, they plucked Dele Alli from lower down the footballing pyramid not so long ago whilst moves for the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Jack Grealish have also been mooted this season.

It's clear they have an appreciation for the game away from the highest level, then, and Kelly could well be a good signing for them if they get a move over the line.

The Verdict

Spurs need to sign some extra players in the summer to build on what has been a good season for them.

New faces in defence would not go amiss as their current bunch get older and Kelly would be an ideal addition as they plan to regenerate their team.
