Premier League title hopefuls Spurs are still casting a watching eye over Norwich City defender Max Aarons.

The defender has been a key figure for the Canaries this term under Daniel Farke, and according to Football.London, Mauricio Pochettino is weighing up a summer move for the youngster as he looks to once again raid the Championship for it's top talent.

Aarons has developed into one of the league's most consistent and impressive performers this term and a move to the Premier League would come as no surprise really given just how influential he has become.

Spurs have a habit of picking up players from the lower leagues and turning them into stars, as we have seen most famously with Dele Alli, and Aarons would no doubt be open to the move knowing that Spurs are not averse to throwing young players into the mix.

The futures of Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier are in the air somewhat according to the report, and Pochettino could well see Aarons as the ideal replacement as they move into the new stadium in the coming weeks and months.

Norwich themselves are flying high in the Championship at the top of the table and will be determined to keep Aarons, although they are also not averse to moving players on for the right money, as shown with the sale of James Maddison last time out.
