Premier League giants Manchester United and Spurs are both interested in signing Bristol City defender Lloyd Kelly.

The left back has been in superb form for the Robins this term after breaking into the first XI, and those performances have alerted some of the top clubs in the country.

According to the Mirror, a whole host of top flight clubs are interested in Kelly, with Man United, Spurs, and Arsenal all mentioned as potential destinations for the youngster.

Kelly, who operates primarily as a left back for Lee Johnson's men, has already been given international recognition, getting called up to the England under-21 set up while also impressing Gareth Southgate in the senior squad.

The 20-year-old will no doubt be keen to get to the highest level he can, so any bid from the likes of those clubs mentioned would have to be seriously considered by the Robins, who will be hoping to at least command a big fee for their young star if they do sell.

The report also cites Liverpool as potential suitors, with the Reds looking to add as much talent as they can to their squad in the coming windows.

The Verdict

Kelly has certainly been impressive this term but whether a jump to this level is too early remains a question.

The Robins don't really need to sell either, so it will take a big bid for them to consider losing one of their prized assets.

If Kelly does move though, then no one will blame him, as these sorts of chances don't come around all too often.
