Dean Henderson has emerged as a shock transfer target for a number of European giants ahead of a possible summer move away from Manchester United.

According to ESPN, Tottenham, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus are all said to be interested in a deal to bring the shot-stopper to their respective clubs.

Henderson has been impressive for Sheffield United on loan this season, and will play a crucial role for Chris Wilder's side if they are to challenge for promotion.

The Blades are currently sat 3rd in the Championship table, and Henderson's impressive performances seemingly haven't gone unnoticed so far this season.

The young goalkeeper is unlikely to force his way into the Manchester United side anytime soon, with David De Gea showcasing his talent on a weekly basis at the moment for the Red Devils.

According to ESPN, the Spaniard is in contract talks over a potential new deal, with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2020, although there hasn't been a major breakthrough in the discussions as of late.

Henderson is highly rated at Old Trafford, and certainly has a bright future ahead of him , if recent performances are anything to go by.

It's sure to be an interesting summer ahead for the goalkeeper, who evidently isn't short of any offers.

But he'll have to choose his next club wisely, as it could make or break his career.

The Verdict:

I think I speak for everyone in saying that no-one saw this rumour coming.

There's no doubting that he is an excellent option to have between the sticks, but I'm really not sure he is good enough for any of the clubs that are reportedly interested in signing him.

If he wants regular first-team football, then he'll steer clear of a move to the clubs interested in the summer.
