Sheffield Wednesday have been in fine form as of late but they'll face a real test against Wigan in midweek, with the Latics well amongst the promotion spots.

The Owls have been well on it the last few games, seeing off Ipswich, Morecambe and Burton to get within three points of the top six and a potential play-off place. A fairly sizeable win - and a Wycombe defeat - then would see the club leapfrog into sixth.

This means that a result here is of the utmost importance but Leam Richardson's side will not be keen to let them get one. They too have promotion ambitions and every point for them counts in their bid for a title charge.

With that in mind then, who could get the start for Sheffield Wednesday?

You'd have to think that there wouldn't be much of a change considering their last result was an emphatic win, although there could be a slight change to the attacking personnel involved.

Sylla Sow came off the bench to bag a goal in that clash against Burton and that might have earned him a starting berth in this midweek fixture. Alongside him, Callum Paterson is likely to be the other preferred centre forward.

In the centre of the field, the Owls are strong. They have Barry Bannan who, if available, is one of the most creative players in the division. In fact, he created more chances than anyone in that tie and could do similar here. Alongside him, Massimo Luongo is playing superbly and the Owls will want to tie him down to a new deal.

The backline should also be unchanged, with the on-loan Jordan Storey continuing to look solid for Darren Moore's side too. Having had experience higher up in the Championship, that comes as no surprise for the PNE man.
