Premier League side Southampton will line up either Maarten Stekelenburg or Adam Federici to cover for Fraser Forster, according to the Daily Mail.
Cover is needed for Forster after he sustained an injury against Burnley a few games ago.
Saints manager Ronald Koeman does not seem to have faith in his back up keepers Kelvin Davis or Paulo Gazzaniga, and is subsequently eyeing up a replacement.
Reading keeper Adam Federici is a surprise target despite Koeman claiming to not know of his existence.
His contract expires this summer, although it’s likely that Reading will offer him a new deal.
Fulham keeper Maarten Stekelenburg was bought in from Roma last season to replace Mark Schwarzer, but after their relegation from the Premier League, he was loaned to AS Monaco due to his astronomical wages – Fulham will definitely look to offload him this summer.
Reading and Fulham have both struggled this season, Fulham sitting in 18th the Sky Bet Championship having amassed 49 points this season, whilst Reading are 19th having accumulated 47 points this season, although they have two games in hand over their opponents.
