Premier League duo Southampton and Newcastle and Championship side Norwich are in the hunt for the 'next Deli Alli', MK Dons wonderkid Recoe Martin, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The Dons were the side that produced England and Spurs midfielder Alli, and their production line has been working hard once more to churn out 18-year-old Martin.

Martin is a striker who has been impressing for their Under-18 side, recently scoring five times in just 17 minutes for MK's youth side.

He's yet to break through to the first team, but those eye-catching displays have alerted a host of scouts hoping to pluck him from League Two, where the Dons current sit just outside the top three after last night's 4-2 defeat at Morecambe.

Alli, still only 22-years-old, began his career at Milton Keynes too. He played 62 times for them, scoring 18 times, before being taken to Spurs where he's thrived.

He's gone on to start 112 Premier League matches for Spurs and amassed 33 England caps even at his tender age.

The Verdict

This could be big news for the Dons.

The left-sided striker has been brought through their academy and would earn them a fee of some sort.

It's always hard to judge a young player in an Under 18 set up because few have seen him outside his club and a handful of scouts, but the Dons do have form when it comes to developing talent.
