Leeds United could be set to be raided by Southampton, who are keen on defender Pontuss Jansson, according to a report in the Sun.

The impressive Swede has been an absolute revelation for Leeds this season, joining on an initial loan deal in the summer before agreeing to make his move permanent at the end of the season in a £3.5m deal.

However, it now appears that the Saints are willing to come calling for Jansson despite his agreement with Leeds, with the report claiming Southampton will offer three times as much to take the big defender to the Premier League.

Saints managed Claude Puel is in the hunt for a new centre half, with strong hints around the media that star man Virgil Van Dijk could be on his way to one of the big boys in the Premier League.

Jansson would be hard pushed to turn down a move to the top flight, but he and current Leeds manager Garry Monk will be hoping Leeds can make it to the Premier League this season, with the playoffs still a very realistic chance for them.
