Tranmere Rovers and Walsall are both eager to bring in Jamille Matt from Forest Green Rovers this month, and have agreed a fee with the Sky Bet League One club for the player, sources have told Football League World.

The attacker has made 16 appearances in the third tier so far this season for FGR, as per Whoscored, with ten of those coming from the bench as Rovers look to fight against the drop from the division.

Matt has chipped in with a goal and an assist so far in the league but it looks as though his time at Rovers could be soon coming to an end, with two clubs in Sky Bet League Two eager to bring him in.

This website has been told that both Tranmere and Walsall have agreed a fee for the striker and the decision over where to go and what to do next now lies with him.

Tranmere are currently sat in 15th in the Sky Bet League Two table, whilst Walsall are two points and four places better off in the fourth division as they sit in 11th.

With just five points separating 4th to 15th in the league, meanwhile, both retain good play-off hopes and may feel Matt can be the difference between reaching the top seven and not.
