Swindon Town are fielding transfer offers for club captain Angus MacDonald, sources have exclusively revealed to Football League World.

The 30-year-old centre-back only joined the Robins in the summer of 2022 after being released by Rotherham United, but was immediately named as the new skipper of the club by then-head coach Scott Lindsey.

MacDonald has featured 15 times for the League Two outfit whilst also spending a considerable amount of time on the sidelines with a dislocated collarbone, but despite being a regular starter when fit and available, the hierarchy at the County Ground are looking to move him on.

The defender is contracted to Swindon until the summer of 2024, so it is likely that it will take a transfer fee from another club to secure a switch away.

MacDonald started in Swindon's most recent match on New Year's Day against Colchester United, but that could potentially have been his final appearance in a Town shirt with the managerless club looking to cash in.
