Salford City are in talks to sign Burton Albion player Kane Hemmings in this transfer window, Football League World can reveal.

Salford are into the top half of the League Two table and will be looking to climb further in the second half of the season, with them finding a bit more form of late under Gary Bowyer.

Indeed, they're eager to add to their squad this month in the January transfer market and Hemmings is on their radar, with talks underway over a move.

Burton's website reported over the weekend that Burton boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink had revealed that the Brewers had accepted a bid for Hemmings from an unnamed club, and FLW understands that it is Salford City that are looking to get him in.

Hemmings has scored four goals and provided two assists for the Brewers so far this season, with him featuring on 18 occasions, 10 of which have been starts in League One.

However, his time in yellow could well be coming to an end with Salford eager to get this one over the line as quickly as possible now.
