Peterborough United are on the verge of agreeing a new contract with Christy Pym, a source has exclusively revealed to Football League World.
Pym has made 87 appearances for Posh since swapping Exeter City for London Road in 2019, with the goalkeeper featuring on 45 occasions last season.
The 26-year-old featured 40 times in League One, helping Darren Ferguson’s side finish runners-up to Hull City and win promotion back into the Championship.
A source has now revealed to Football League World that Pym is set to land a new contract with Posh ahead of their Championship return.
Pym initially signed a three-year deal when he arrived at Peterborough from Exeter in 2019, with that deal having just 12 months remaining on it heading into this summer.
Peterborough’s move to tie the goalkeeper down once more comes on the back of a stellar League One campaign, which saw the goalkeeper keep 16 clean sheets and play a big role in putting the club back into the Championship.
