Djed Spence is seriously open to remaining at Nottingham Forest next season rather than joining another side, providing the Reds win promotion this weekend to the Premier League, Football League World has been told.

Spence is an excellent wing-back and has shown this season that he looks destined to play at the very highest level.

Indeed, it seems fair to assume that he will be playing Premier League football next season regardless of what Forest do this weekend at Wembley up against Huddersfield Town, and it just remains to be seen who that will be for.

The Middlesbrough player has been linked with a host of top-flight clubs as well as making a permanent move to Forest this summer, with it clear that he will be at least departing the Teesside club for good in the window.

And, if Forest win promotion, they could well be able to keep him with this site being told that Spence would be willing to turn down other offers to remain at the City Ground, with him possessing a really strong relationship with manager Steve Cooper.

This could be a huge boost to Forest fans but first, of course, the Reds need to seal their long-awaited return to the top flight this weekend.
