Norwich City are interested in making a summer move for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise defender Matthew Sorinola, Football League World have exclusively learnt.

The 21-year-old, who joined the Belgian outfit from MK Dons last summer, appeared 16 times in all competitions last season, however, he was limited to just two starts.

An exclusive Football League World report in April claimed that Swansea City had set their sights on the 21-year-old, with Russell Martin eyeing up a potential reunion.

Martin managed the young defender during their time at MK Dons together, With Sorinola enjoying a breakout season under the 36-year-old's stewardship.

Appearing 43 times in all competitions during the 2020/21 campaign with the Buckinghamshire club, Sorinola netted two times and provided a further six assists, benefitting from a system that allowed wing-backs to thrive in an attacking sense.

Norwich will be hoping to mount a promotion push upon their return to the Championship and have proven to recruit intelligently when in the second tier before.
