Leyton Orient are on the cusp of agreeing a deal for Northampton Town forward, Harry Smith, a source has exclusively revealed to Football League World.
Smith is still under contract with Northampton and has had a handful of offers this summer, but it looks to be Leyton Orient that will seal his service as Kenny Jackett’s revolution continues ahead of the League Two campaign.
A source has revealed to Football League World that the exciting project Jackett is piecing together with Orient on the back of his appointment is appealing to Smith, with the 26-year-old set to agree a two-year deal with the O’s.

Smith started his career with Millwall, making nine league appearances for the Lions, as well as enjoying a loan spell with Swindon Town.
He then moved onto Macclesfield in 2018/19 and scored nine goals, which prompted Northampton to swoop for his service.
The forward has made 50 appearances for Northampton during his time with the Cobblers, returning 11 goals. Smith also had a loan spell with Motherwell last year, where he made five appearances in the Scottish Premiership.
