Fulham will be keeping tabs on Joe Gomez's situation at Liverpool, with Football League World understanding that the Premier League-bound Cottagers are interested in moving for the centre-back.

Marco Silva's side have won promotion to the Premier League and wrapped up the Championship title in style last night, beating Luton Town 7-0 in emphatic fashion.

Naturally, attention is turning to the Premier League and specifically recruitment.

Sources have explained to Football League World that Fulham are monitoring Gomez and his situation at Liverpool, with the view of moving to bring him to Craven Cottage ahead of 2022/23.

Gomez, 24, has managed only 285 minutes of Premier League football this season under Jurgen Klopp, with Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate ahead of him in the pecking order.

As Liverpool fight on four fronts for trophies, there have been other opportunities for Gomez, although his place down the pecking order feels particularly fixed heading into the summer.

We could be embarking on an eventful summer of business between Fulham and Liverpool, too, with Fabio Carvalho reportedly set to eventually make the move to Anfield. That also comes after Harry Wilson and Neco Williams made the move in the opposite direction in the last two transfer windows.
