Crawley Town are closing in on the signing of 24-year-old goalkeeper Corey Addai, Football League World understands.
The ambitious League Two club have made a strong start to the summer transfer window with the additions of Dom Telford and Dion Conroy, as the Reds now near the signing of the former Barnsley goalkeeper.
Football League World have learnt that Gillingham have also been interested in a move for the towering shot-stopper, providing the West Sussex club with some competition.
However, Addai has now completed his Crawley medical and is expected to pen down a permanent contract with the League Two outfit.
Addai spent last season with Danish second-tier outfit Esbjerg fB, going on to feature seven times in the league and adding a further three appearances with the club’s reserves.
Set to return to England, it appears that it will be Crawley who will land his signature, with the Reds currently continuing their pre-season in Spain.
