Bolton Wanderers are set to offload Reiss Greenidge to Barnet on a season-long loan, a source has exclusively revealed to Football League World.

Greenidge, 24, was signed by Ian Evatt last summer as Bolton prepared for life in the fourth tier of English football.

However, the defender saw his opportunities limited across the 2020/21 campaign, making only three starts in League Two and five appearances in total as Evatt steered Bolton to third and automatic promotion.

With plans motoring on at the University of Bolton Stadium ahead of a return to League One, Bolton are set to offload Greenidge.

A source has revealed to Football League World that the defender is bound for Barnet on a season-long loan and will link up with the National League outfit.

Barnet, who narrowly avoided relegation to National League South last season, have appointed former Leeds and Liverpool winger, Harry Kewell, as their new head coach.

Kewell has managed Crawley Town, Notts County and, most recently, Oldham Athletic in his short career in the dugout.

Greenidge will become the latest addition to Kewell's evolving squad this summer.
